Blackheads, red sore spots and the deep painful lumps are three different problems needing three different treatments, so we work out which ones you actually have first. And there is a second problem nobody warns you about: the spot clears in a week, and the brown mark it leaves can sit there for months. We plan for that mark from day one.

Will not: clear your face in one visit, or treat scarring while you are still breaking out

Not suitable: peels and lasers over active acne, which we postpone rather than refuse
